We’ve chosen our top 10 drugstore beauty items. These 10 items have quality that rivals department store makeup brands, without the department store price. So, take note and be sure to give these items a try.
- L’Oreal Telescopic or Voluminous mascara. I personally love both of these, and couldn’t bare to choose just one for this list. If you’re seeking volume definitely pick up Voluminous, and if it’s length you desire telescopic will make your lashes appear miles long. L’Oreal’s Carbon black is the truest, darkest black I’ve seen in drugstore make up, and really enhances your eyes.
- Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation. Usually when it comes to foundations I would recommend being matched at a beauty counter as drugstore foundations can be hit or miss. Revlon Colorstay is without a doubt a hit. While there is a bit to be desired in the color department for women of color, catching this product BOGO and mixing to get your perfect match is well worth it. It also comes in different formulas depending on your skin type, but there is a slight color variation between formulas.
- Revlon Lipstick.
- L’Oreal Studio Secrets Primer. This is the only drugstore primer I have ever tried, so I can’t compare it to any others, but this stuff is AMAZING. It feels great going on, and gives your skin a silky smooth finish. Perfect under your favorite foundation, or alone.
- NYX eyeshadow trios. NYX eyeshadows offer great pigmentation, and are very easy to work with.
- Covergirl Liquiline Blast color eye pencils. This is a recent addition to my drugstore favorites, and well worth purchasing. The long lasting liners are great for giving an added pop of color to your eyes.
- NYX blush. Great color payoff and an awesome selection of colors. Don’t sleep on this blush.
- L’Oreal Hip Creme eyeliner. I have been raving about this creme liner since my MAC fluidline dried out. It goes on easy, and stays in place.
- NYX Jumbo eye pencil. NYX markets these as shadow pencils, which they can be used for this purpose, but I find them most useful as a base for applying eyeshadow.
- lastly, Ardell false eyelashes.
