Make Up Monday: Nude Face #NYFW

A few weeks ago I posted about how much I disliked Drew Barrymore’s make up at the 2010 SAG awards, but maybe she was on to something. One of the biggest make up trends spotted at #NYFW is a bare face or the appearance of wearing no make up. And when I say no make up, I mean NO MAKE UP. This look is very similar to the classic “natural” no make up look, in that it involves none to very little color. The natural look usually includes a hint of blush and a lip tint at a minimum, but new to this season is the introduction of the completely nude matte face and matte nude or bare lips as seen at the BCBG show.

While Drew may have been on to something, I still don’t like it. My advice is to add color in at least one area of the face, to prevent looking sick.
