Get the Look: Kim Kardashian @ Queen of Hearts
Kim wore a white YSL strapless dress with grey Costume National shoes. I heart every item in the look, just not together. I wish she would have chosen a different shoe. I don’t hate the shoes with this dress, I just don’t love it. Other than that everything else is great. Jewelry was kept to a minimum (including the absence of an engagement ring) and she carried a geometric shaped clutch. Jump below to see how to duplicate her make up.
Make up:
Kim is known for her smoky eye looks, but I love to see her in softer make up also. Mario Dedivanovic created this look for Kim to wear while hosting the Queen of Hearts ball at LAVO earlier this month. I think this look is simple, sexy and can be worn by anyone, just tweak the colors to match your skin tone.
Face: Start off with a primer, Kim used Josie Maran Argan Primer Mist. Once that has dried lightly apply your foundation and blend well. Set your foundation with a powder such as Smashbox HALO Hydrating Perfecting Powder. (Perfect for dry winter skin) If needed use a bronzer to warm the skin.
Cheeks: Apply NYX Peach to the apples of the cheek and highlight the cheekbones with a shimmery blush or in Kim’s case N.Y.C Sparkle eye dust in Opal Sparkle .
Eyes: Fills brows with a brow pencil such as MAC lingering, using light strokes in the direction the hair grows, and brush through for a more natural look . Sweep a nude eye shadow on your lids keeping it below the crease. Use a small shadow brush to apply a dab of bronzer to the crease and lower lash line. Using a liquid liner, thinly line your upper lids only. Apply Mascara and finish with individual lashes in the outer corners and another coat of mascara (top and bottom).
Lips: Finish this look with a pink liner and gloss.
