Tis’ the season to be stressed – random thoughts
I got my first party invitation of the season last week. A sure sign the holidays are officially here. I look forward to socializing and loading up on all the free champagne and cocktails I can. I even look forward to the stress. Yes readers, I actually like the stress of the holidays. I can’t explain it, just something in my personality.
Warning: This is going to sound weird.
Another thing I am looking forward to, is the cold weather. I know I’ve been saying that because I want to wear boots, but there is actually another reason. The cool air amplifies cologne and perfume. Of course this could be a good or bad thing. I’m waiting for the night that I step out of my car into the cool winter breeze and catch a whiff of my perfume. Yes, I like smelling my perfume. Unless you live in Florida, and endured the the hot humid air that just smothers your perfume – you probably don’t get it.
I am also looking forward to spending time with my family. I told you guys earlier that my family has decided to visit me this Thanksgiving, and the first batch of visitors are set to arrive on Monday. I am excited but I am also overwhelmed. So overwhelmed in fact I can’t even type about it without getting frantic and trying to figure out if I have enough towels. Moving along……
The weather has started to cool down some. We are averaging highs in the 70′s which makes it cool enough in the morning and afternoons to break out the boots. YAY!!! If you follow me on Twitter, you’ve seen some of the boots I’ve purchased for this season. I only have one problem. I snuck (I’m anxious to see if spell check recognizes this as a word) all of them into my wardrobe. Some of the poor shoes had to spend night after night hiding in my trunk before it was safe to bring them in. There are only so many new shoes my husband can see before he starts asking, When did you get those? He is super observant. And you know what my response will be? OH, I been had them. We will see if that works.
I have to find some dresses and hostess gifts, so I will probably share a few of my ideas with you all. Until then…. Stay beautiful
PS: snuck is a word. I just don’t like how it sounds.
