Style At Home
Side note: I have been away too long, Sorry guys. I’ve been crazy busy, working on a condo in Miami beach. It literally has been consuming all of my energy. I’m tired, but I am loving every minute of it. The great thing is that I have complete control over the design (OK, not complete there are a few exceptions and existing pieces I must work in, but otherwise ….).Since I’ve been in interior design mode lately, I’d like to get your feedback. Are you trendy when it comes to your home decor? Do you change your decor based on the season, your mood, or on the hottest colors of the season? I personally tend decorate a room in the manner you would accessorise a LBD; start with a great foundation and jazz it up with accessories (unless, of course the room is meant to be themed). A quick swap of pillows and other accessories can make a world of difference in the feel of your room. I am not a believer in being trendy with your furniture. I believe your furniture should be timeless and reflective of your overall style. But feel free to go wild with pillows, throws, lamps and paint. Just like with clothing, accessories are the easiest and most economical way to have trendy decor. For those of you that decorate around the season, here’s some Fall inspiration for your home.
