Sunday Confession

One of my readers wanted me to be a little more personable, and asked that I share more about myself. So I have started a confessions series, and this is the first one.

I have always been a fairly petite, small stature person. I remember growing up, being teased about being so skinny. I was called many names; among those were chicken legs, ant, and sticks. LMAO, I laugh now, but growing up I prayed to gain weight. When I finally began to fill out, my legs missed the memo. Because of that I was really insecure about how skinny my legs were and resorted to always wearing pants, or if I did wear skirts, I paired them with boots. Even though I have now accepted my limbs (they have also thickened up lol), I still have yet to let them out. I almost feel like a hypocrite, being a stylist and having such a limited array of bottoms in my wardrobe, but that is soon to change. I have made a promise to myself to incorporate more skirts and short dresses into my everyday wardrobe. My legs will breathe, and get a tan. Lord knows they need it.

Too bad Fall and Winter is here, I can’t really start now, but it’s on for summer 2010! For inspiration, here are some nice skirts and dress I spotted over at forever21.com
